Who Ya Gonna Call...

...for laughs and a smile? I suggest you start with Improv Everywhere. I feature one of their videos on my sight before. By their own description, "Improv Everywhere causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places. Created in August of 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has executed over 100 missions involving tens of thousands of undercover agents. The group is based in New York City." Here's their latest "mission".

This video is not only hilarious, but it's for a good cause. The message at the end of the video is a plea to public officials asking them to not close down the historic library due to city budget cuts. This was also the same library used in the opening scene of the original Ghostbusters movie.

I laughed and smiled throughout the whole video. The video got that much better once I read the behind the scenes portion of the story. Here's my favorite pics from that:

You may remember the guard talking to the first ghost who entered the library. Here's the story behind that:
"Agent Rodgers was the first ghost to enter. He grabbed a book off of a shelf on the way in and started heading for a seat. He was quickly stopped by a security guard, who had no idea what was going on.

Guard: Sir, what are you doing?
Rodgers: Um... haunting the library.

The guard allowed him to take a seat, and then went over to the information desk to laugh about it with another employee.
"

That's Top Flight Security of the World right there!

Then there was the ghost on the laptop... checkout what he was looking up.

These guys go all out and plan every detail. For something so spontaneous, it goes so smooth. The crowd loved it, I loved it, and I hope you loved it too. I hope Improv Everywhere keeps the good stuff coming.
